Brenda Kay Adams Davis Beeson

Brenda Kay Adams Davis Beeson was born on July 1, 1946 to the late Bruster and Chalma Adams in Winston-Salem and grew up in the South Fork Community with two younger siblings, Richard Gray and Cynthia Gay Adams. Brenda attended New Philadelphia Moravian Church with her family. After surviving a debilitating car accident when she was sixteen, she graduated from South West High School in 1964. She was married to Charles Michael Davis in 1967 and has three children, Sallie Davis Grimes, Michael Davis, Jr., and Jonathan Davis. Brenda attended Forsyth Memorial Hospital Nursing School and graduated in 1968. She had a loved, versatile, and an accomplished career in nursing and was head nurse in the ICU of FMH early in her career. Brenda worked in emergency, charge nurse of urology, and private care. She was currently an after-hours triage nurse for Positive Reinforcement Nursing. Brenda attended Bethabara Moravian Church where she served as a diener for love feasts, hand bell choir member, and played trumpet for the band. She enjoyed full costume reenactments at Old Salem and played in the band during many sunrise services on Easter. Brenda married the late, Dennis Beeson in 1994 and has a step-daughter Melody Beeson. She has four grandchildren, Megan, Josh, Abigail, and Eli. Her sister-in-law Kathy and niece, Sherri and her family live in Florida. She was also loved by her daughter and son-in-law Amy and Philip and step-grandson Joshua Grimes. Brenda resided in Jamestown, NC with her son, Jonathan. Brenda was a very creative, intelligent, loving, self-sacrificing woman. She was a wonderful cook, nurse, Mother, sister, ""Maw Maw"", and friend. She contributed to and supported many charities. She loved movies, food and family, her cat, China Blue, squirrels, the Grand Canyon and sunflowers. She believed in the golden rule, angels, and the healing power of laughter. Brenda had a great sense of humor and loved to tell long stories. Special thanks go to all her care givers Jessie, Lindsay, and Sarah. She considered you family. Thanks also to all the nurses and doctors at High Point Regional Hospital, where she spent her final days. The English scientist Michael Faraday (1791-1867) is considered to have been one of the greatest experimental physicists. When Faraday was questioned on his speculations of a life after death, he replied: 'Speculations? I know nothing about speculations. I'm resting on certainties. I know that my Redeemer lives, and because He lives, I shall live also.' Brenda went home also believing these truths. Her favorite verse she struggled with was Philippians 4:11 ""11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content."" She is at peace at home with her heavenly, Father. This life, we travel through, but heaven is her home where she can unpack and be content for eternity. Heaven's delights will far outweigh earth's difficulties. Hebrews 13:14 ""For this world is not our home; we are looking forward to our city in heaven, which is yet to come."" The definition of love is the desire for and the delight in the happiness of another, even to the point of self-sacrifice. Brenda loved everyone she came in contact with, and took care of everyone better than herself. Brenda Kay Adams Davis Beeson was 67 years of age.
