Brenda Joyce Custer

Mrs. Brenda Joyce Spainhour Custer, 74, passed away June 20, 2017 at Village Care of King. She was born June 19, 1943 in Norfolk County Virginia to the late Oscar Branson Spainhour and Vallie Warren Spainhour. Brenda loved life, and she never met a stranger. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Becky Belcher (AG). She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Larry Wayne Custer; two sons, Rodney Middleton (NormaKay), Chad Middleton (Wendy); five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Vicky Warren (Michael). A graveside service will be conducted 12:00 noon, Thursday June 22, 2017 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, N.C. with Pastor Gary Styers officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27103.
