Brenda Wyrick Redman

Brenda Wyrick Redman, 84, passed away peacefully Monday, October 5, 2026, at her home.

Brenda was born December 5, 1941, to Jasper Paul Wyrick and Josephine Brinson Wyrick in Winston-Salem. She graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School in 1960. She graduated Women’s College of UNC (now UNC Greensboro) in 1964 with a Bachelor of Arts. Brenda was a lifelong member of Ardmore Baptist Church. She worked at Bell South (now AT&T) and Branch Banking & Trust. She used her background in finance and corporate networking to transition to Real Estate. She worked for Wake Forest School of Medicine-Internal Medicine and NC Baptist Hospital- Pastoral Care. She retired in 2010 to assist in caring for her soon to be twin grandsons, Noah Browning Ellerbe and Aden Browning Ellerbe. Brenda loved the arts. She served many years in the W-S Jaycee’s working on community projects and charitable fund raisers. She loved working in her yard and flower gardening. She was an accomplished shag dancer. Brenda was preceded in death by her sister, Paula JoAnne Wyrick; and her grandson, Hunter Browning Ellerbe.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jennifer Redman Ellerbe (Kevin); two grandchildren, Noah Browning Ellerbe and Aden Browning Ellerbe; and her “care friend” as she used to say, Tammy Hatcher. Her memory will be cherished by her loving family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Ardmore Baptist Church on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, at 2pm.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the 2pm service at the church.
