Brenda Sue Carter Wood

Ms. Brenda Sue Carter Wood, 68, of Kernersville, NC passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Brenda was born on December 25, 1947 in Forsyth County, NC to Ernest C. and Margaret Hubbard Carter. She was a faithful member of Kernersville Wesleyan Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher. Brenda loved her family and loved to spend time with them. She also enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents. Brenda is survived by five children, Denise Berry (Steve) of Iberia, MO; Camille Sherrell (Lindsey) also of Iberia, MO, Samuel Wood (Teresa), Joel Wood (Mary) of Winston-Salem, and Aaron Wood also of Winston-Salem; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. A funeral service for Brenda will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Kernersville Wesleyan Church with Pastor Don Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 10:45 am prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
