Brenda Gail Robbins Worley

Brenda Gail Robbins Worley, 76, of Kernersville, NC passed away on Sunday December 7, 2025 after a lengthy battle with Frontotemporal Dementia.

She was born on September 1, 1949 and was one of six children born to the late Frank and Annie Robbins of Kernersville. Brenda was a Graduate of East Forsyth High School Class of 1968.

Brenda was known to be very kind, loving and hard-working. She worked for many years as a machine operator at Grass America in Kernersville.

Brenda had a deep love for animals, especially her many cats and dog, Jasper. She loved music, singing, dancing, yardwork (picking weeds) and cleaning. Brenda was known in the family to make the best chicken and dumplings and potato salad. She enjoyed fishing, trips to Atlantic Beach, and the outdoors. Whether she was sitting quietly on her back porch, feeding the birds or walking on the beach listening to the waves and collecting seashells, nature was always her place of peace and joy. More than anything, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family. She always made sure they knew her love was “FOREVER”. She leaves behind many cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her grandson, Wesley Cline, and her brother, Bud Robbins. Her memories will live on through her two daughters, Kim Smith of Kernersville (son-in-law, Bubba Smith) and Cindy Rhodes of Mocksville (son-in-law, Don Rhodes); grandchildren, Devin Clark, Tanner Smith and Chase Smith; siblings, Mary Stafford, Faye Drane, Steve Robbins and Pat Parrish, as well as many friends and extended family members.

Services will be held at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Kernersville, 3950 Macy Grove Road, on Saturday December 20, 2025. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm before the service. The funeral service will be held at 3:00pm. Officiating the service is Pastor Steve Roberson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Clemmons Village for their loving care of Brenda over the last few years.

The family would also like to thank Hospice for their care of Brenda these past 6 months.
