Brent Slotte

Mr. Brent Slotte, 46, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at his home. He was born July 8, 1967 in Ukiah, CA. Brent moved to North Carolina in 1992 and went to work for Diamond Ridge Racing. He later worked 14 years for Richard Petty Racing and then went to work for Richard Childress Racing as a fabricator. Brent was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Angie Sophia Marquardt Slotte and his father, John Alfred Slotte. Surviving are his two sons, Douglas Ryan Slotte and Corey Matthew Slotte; a daughter, Emalee Nicole Slotte ; his mother, Dr. Bonnie Adams-Burnett (husband David); two sisters, Jondea Orr (husband Bill) and Lori Slotte; two nieces, Megan Orr and Amanda Orr; his best friends Audrey Stephenson and Howie Frazier; close friends, Susan Reid and Lori Southern and his mother-in-law, Connie Harris. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Nick Perry of Motor Racing Outreach officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
