Bridgett Ann (Wright) Larsen

Bridgett Ann (Wright) Larsen, 75, passed away on March 18, 2024 at Trinity Elms Health & Rehab in Clemmons, NC.

Bridgett was born on October 25, 1948, in Mount Vernon, WA to the late Thomas Wright and Charissima (Rieden) Wu. The family moved to Bellevue, WA where she graduated from Sammamish High School in 1966. Bridgett became a draftswoman at Boeing in 1966, a beautician in 1972, and later earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Bellevue Community College in 1987 and worked in accounting and elementary education. She worked in many industries throughout her life, but teaching children was her passion.

Bridgett married Ken Larsen, her husband of 52 years, in 1971. Together they built a house in Redmond, WA and lived there for over 20 years. It was in the “Redmond House” that they welcomed their two sons, Scott and Eric. After a few more moves, Ken and Bridgett eventually followed their sons to North Carolina and settled in the Greensboro area in 2000 where they opened their own HVAC business which they ran until they retired.

Bridgett’s faith was an important part of her life. She was a member of different church congregations throughout her lifetime, most recently Lawndale Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC. She served passionately in different children’s ministries, local outreach ministries, and foreign outreach ministries during her life. Bridgett’s love and service to her family were incredible and admirable. She was an example and role model for many that no job was too small or beneath her when it came to making sure things got done, especially if it was in the service of others.

In addition to her parents, Bridgett was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Larsen, and her brother, Michael Wright. Surviving family includes her brother Patric (Donna) Wright, her sons Scott (Paula) and Eric (Rhonda), her nephew Michael Wright, her nieces Michelle (Arnold) Ewert and Marcella (Ken) Larrick, and her six grandchildren Katja, Tyler, Henry, Shaun, Zachary, and Zoey.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Lawndale Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC with Dr. Jon Boling officiating.
