"Bub" Carl F. Spaugh, Jr.

""Bub"" Carl F. Spaugh, Jr., of Winston-Salem, passed away on October 1, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center. Bub was born on February 17, 1930, to Carl F. Spaugh and Opal Miller Spaugh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Satterfield Spaugh. He leaves his sister, Martha S. Whicker; daughters Debbie Flora (Steve), Bambi Meadows (Mike), and Dawn Essick (Clay); Tommy Woods, whom he loved like a son; grandchildren Molli Falgout (Ty), Carly Williams (Ryan), Chase Meadows (Caitlin), Hunter and Hudson Essick, and Winston Woods who he loved like a grandson; six great grandchildren, Tucker and Bodie Williams, Ainsley and Harper Meadows, Patton Falgout and Alli Essick; and his lap companion, Kobe. A celebration of life service will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastors Angela Burris and Danny Spainhour officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 2350 Bethel Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
