Buddy Jones

Mr. Buddy Lewis Jones, 84, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019, at Forsyth Medical Center.  He was born March 16, 1934, in Forsyth County to the late Lewie Johnson Jones and Velda Mae Conard Jones.  Mr. Jones proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church.  He was a faithful servant of the Lord and loved his church.  Mr. Jones thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the Heart of Carolina Street Rodders Club and attending car shows.  Mr. Jones also enjoyed camping and being outdoors.  Most of all, Mr. Jones loved people, especially his family.  He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Perry Jones.  He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Felts Jones; two daughters, Vonita Cook (Chris) and Wendy Bowers; two step-daughters, Sherrie Prevette and Michelle Faw (Kent); one step-son, Terry Prevette (Debbie); one sister, Dianne Marshall (Gene); three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren and another one on the way; also, several nieces and extended family whom he loved.  A memorial service to honor Mr. Jones’ life will be conducted 12:00 pm Saturday, January 19, at Konnoak Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.  A graveside service will be conducted 3:00 pm at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery on Jonestown Rd.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials please made to the Ronald McDonald House, 419 S.
