Buford Stewart Noah, Jr.

The man. The myth. The legend. Men wanted to be him and all the women wanted to be with him.

Buford Stewart Noah, Jr., 48 of Kernersville, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 21st, 2017.

Buford was born May 18th, 1969 in Stokes County to the late Buford Stewart Noah, Sr. and Ruby Wilkins Noah. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tony and his uncles, Harrison and Comie.

A humble man of strong faith who depended on the Lord, Buford was very caring and generous. He was light hearted, loyal, and was always cracking a joke. He could brighten up anyone's day with his smile and sense of humor. He had a happy heart and it was very contagious. He enjoyed sports, he loved NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers, as he would chant ""black & yellow, black & yellow"" and do a silly dance. He enjoyed fishing, and older black and white TV shows. Most important he was a devoted family man and loved spending quality time and making memories with his family. He knew he was saved by the grace of God, and he shared his beliefs with anyone and everyone he came into contact with.

Buford is survived by his wife, Wendi Noah. He led her like Abraham, fought for her love like Jacob, cared for her like Boaz and he loved her like Christ. He was blessed with 5 daughters, Cynthia, Katheryn ""Kj"", Jordan, Danielle and Abigail ""Abby"", followed by his 6 grandchildren: Ryan, Chaz, Chase, Drayden, Izabella and Bentley. He is also survived by his uncles, Larry and Bernie; father and mother in law, Melvin and Sue Duncan; son in law, Joshua Guessford; brother and sister in law, Tim and Sherri Gobble; sister in law, Lisa Noah; and nieces and nephews, Lindsey, Madalyn and Charlie.

A celebration of Buford's life will be held Saturday, May 27th, 2017 at 2 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12 - 2 PM prior to the service. Online condolences may be made to www.hayworth-miller.com.
