Callie Sprinkle Burge

Mrs. Callie Sprinkle Burge, 95, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell County. She was born on April 13, 1921 in Carroll County, VA to Colie Henerson and Lelia Golding Sprinkle. Mrs. Burge was a member of Waughtown Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John David Burge; son, Johnny Burge; one brother and one sister. Surviving is a daughter-in-law, Judy Burge of Graham; four grandchildren, Allen Burge, Keith Burge, Traci Donley all of Graham, Cheri White of Snow Camp; four great grandchildren, Nicholas and Trevor White, Christina Donley, and Laurin Burge; two great great grandchildren, Lydia Donley and Jaxon White; one brother, Lonnie Sprinkle; one sister, Pauline DeHart. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Eddie Brackett officiating. A committal service will be held at 2:30PM Monday at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
