Candace Ann Creger

Candace Ann Creger, 78, passed away on July 14, 2024, at Trellis Supportive Care in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. 

Candace was born on November 17, 1945, in Spokane, Washington. She was employed for many years by Wachovia Bank, which later became Wells Fargo, where she retired. 

Candace spent most of her life caring for others unconditionally, including her husband, John B. Creger, Jr., who passed away last year. She loved spending time with her best friends and they often laughed over meals together. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, especially at Christmastime. She spoiled her dog, Molly, and she always loved animals, regularly donating to various animal rescue charities. 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John B. Creger, Jr., and sister-in-law, Beth Creger.

Surviving family includes three children, John B. Creger, III (Kelly), Cheryl Creger Fishel (Stephen) and Corry Creger (Courtney); grandchildren, Landon Creger, Trey Creger, Dalton Fishel (Kayla), Cameron Fishel, Nick Creger and Katelyn Creger; brothers, Joe Creger and Jerry Creger (Judy); sister, Joy Bartinikas (John); and numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Rev. Richie Neese officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
