Carl Anthony Marshall, 24, crossed over the river into paradise with Jesus on December 14th, 2025 after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family at the Duke Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, NC.

Carl was born on January 23rd, 2001 in Forsyth County, to Kim Marshall and Susan Huff Marshall. Carl was loved and raised in Walkertown, NC, where he loved to serve others, spend time outdoors, and spend time with his family and friends. Another great love he had was for his dog, Maggie Mae.

Carl graduated in 2019 from the Early College of Forsyth. He was an Eagle Scout and spent many of his summers on staff at Camp Raven Knob. Prior to college, Carl was an active volunteer at REVO Church where he became passionate about sound engineering and production.

In the Fall of 2021, Carl graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelors of Science in Business for Hospitality Resort and Tourism Management. Following graduation, Carl worked for Boy Scouts of America, Legends Hospitality, Davidson County Board of Elections, and most recently Wyndham Resorts at North Myrtle Beach. In November of 2024, Carl began a dream of his, by creating and founding his own wedding and event planning business, Marshall Farms Hospitality.

Besides spending time with his family and friends, Carl is best known for serving others. He was known for his strong personality, his selflessness, and stewardship. He touched many lives with his dedication to contributing for the greater good and with his deep faith in Christ. Carl especially will be remembered for his dedication, confidence, and fiery spirit that served to strengthen everyone he met.

In addition to his parents, Carl is survived by his grandparents, Larry and Vicy Marshall, John and Carol Huff; his brother Franklin and wife Breanna, his sister Lillian Marshall, and half-sister Elizabeth.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, December 20th at REVO Church South Fork Campus - 3830 Wayne Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27104. The viewing will begin at 1:00. The Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00, followed by visitation and a meal provided afterward to honor and celebrate Carl’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts in memory and honor of Carl may be made to Camp Raven Knob to support a future facility project. Checks may be mailed to 6600 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27106; please include “Carl Marshall” in the memo line.
