Mr. Carl Larue Spell, Age 80, passed away November 25, 2918 at his residence.  He was born August 28, 1938 in Horry County, South Carolina to the late Gilliam Corie Spell and Lena Inez Spell.  He served in the United States Navy after which He joined the team at WXII and retired with 43 years of service.  Carl was a loving Husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Angie C. Spell; three children, Barry A. Spell, Ben L. Spell (Julia Robertson), and Beth S. Simril (Dan); five grandchildren, Madison Rabenold (Jacob), Carl Spell, Cameron Spell, Laura Hooks (Joel), and Taylor Martin (Alex); three great-grandchildren, Allie, Avett, and Finley.  A Memorial service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Becks Baptist Church with Rev. Austin Caviness, Cameron Kent, and Dr. Randall Sledge officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory Junction, 4500 Adam’s Way, Randleman, NC 27317 and/or Trellis Supportive Care (Hospice), 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.  (Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel).
