Carlos Bull, Sr.

Mr. Carlos DeVan Bull, Sr., 81, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born November 3, 1936, in Forsyth County to the late Mr. Robah Alan Bull and Mrs. Edith Reece Bull. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with thirty-four years of service. Mr. Bull was a coach for Pop Warner Football, Winston-Salem National Little League, and YMCA basketball. He was also a member of the Jaycees. Preceding him in death are his parents and a niece, Debbie Messick. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carole Padgett Bull; two sons, Carlos DeVan Bull, Jr. and wife Sara of Lewisville, and John Eric Bull; two granddaughters, Lina Hernandez and Johanna Hernandez; a brother, Alan Bull and wife Nancy of Clemmons; two sisters, Gayle Compton and husband Robert of Bermuda Run, and Beverly Jo "Sharon" Bull of High Rock Lake; three nieces, Sheila Hasenstab and husband Bob, Tracey Tesh, and Beth Thetford Crossman; and a special friend and caregiver, Jerline Beckner. A funeral service will be conducted 10 AM, Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by Pastor Gary Byrum. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6 PM - 8 PM, Friday, December 1, 2017, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kate B.
