Carlos Lee Cochran

Carlos Lee Cochran, 85, of Walkertown, NC passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Woltz Hospice Home. He was born to the late Thomas Cochran and Elizabeth Dunn Cochran on January 20, 1941, in Cherokee, West Virginia.

Carlos was a simple and family-oriented man. He loved hosting family gatherings and dinners on the weekends. In his free time, Carlos enjoyed bowling, playing poker, cooking, and watching NASCAR.

In addition to his parents, Carlos was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Gibson; and brother, Kenneth Cochran.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara Walker Cochran; beloved children, Paul Cochran, Robert Joseph Cochran, Theresa Gearhart (Wayne), Donna Stewart (Don), and Elizabeth Idol (Steve); 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren on the way.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. Pallbearers will be Wayne Gearheart, Ace Gearheart, William Stewart, Brandon Gibson, Nate Gibson and Logan Haney; Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Cochran and Austin Cochran
