Carol Ann Clancy Lukes, 85, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026. She was born December 16, 1940, in Chicago, IL, to the late Bernard and Gabriella Clancy.
Mrs. Lukes was a graduate of Loretto Academy of the Immaculate Conception and Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Il. She was a dedicated Catholic school teacher at the Church of the Nativity in Brandon, FL; serving the parish for nearly 50 years as a teacher, Eucharistic Minister, and later as a member of the church office staff. Active in many things, Mrs. Lukes was particularly committed to animals and was a founding member of the Dog Training Club of Tampa. She was a committed friend and devoted mother and grandmother.
In addition to her loving parents, Mrs. Lukes was preceded in death by her former husband and life-long companion, Dr. Edward Lukes.
Carol is survived by her two devoted children, Martin Lukes and Jean Fifer; loving daughter-in-law, Laura Lukes; and five adored grandchildren: Joseph Lukes, Martin Lukes, Jr., Alex Fifer, Bernard Lukes, and Ryan Fifer.
A graveside service will be held at a later date for Carol in Chicago, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
