Carol Gray

Mrs. Carol Faye Smith Gray, 82, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021. She was born in Stokes County on October 8, 1938 to the late Charles Barrett Smith and Estelle Simmons Smith. She worked many years at Forsyth Medical Center as a secretary in the Emergency Room. In her spare time, she took care of her sister. Faye enjoyed basket weaving, planting flowers, and sewing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Gray, Jr; one sister; and one brother-in-law. She is survived by a son, Charles Edward Gray, III; daughter, Cindy Gray Clawson; and three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gerry Smith and Betty Moorefield. There will be no formal services held at this time.
