Carol Lee Ogle Souder

WINSTON-SALEM- Carol Lee ""Shortie"" Ogle Souder, 72, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at her home. She was born December 31, 1943, in Mt. Gilead, Ohio to the late Merrit K. Ogle and Mary Lamb Ogle Danals.
Words cannot express the impact Carol had on the lives of her family and friends. She was a wonderful mother who was extremely involved in her children's upbringing and extra-curricular activities. She was a mentor not just to her family but anyone who needed her. She was of the Methodist faith and was always willing to lend a helping hand with a caring supportive and non-judgmental spirit. In her free time she loved baking, cooking sewing and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son Richard Souder; and brother Carl Lamb.
Surviving are her husband Richard W. Souder; sons Donald (Joyce) Souder, and Scott Souder; Daughter Gretchen Nicole Bauguess (David); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers Ronald Ogle, Timothy Ogle, David Ogle and John Ogle.
The Souder family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30pm, Friday, October 7, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
