Carole White Dillard, aged 76, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on March 17, 2018 at her home in Garden City, South Carolina after a brief battle with a brain tumor. She was born to the late James Alfred White and Ruth Dunn White on August 24, 1941, in Kinston, NC. Carole met the love of her life and lifelong partner, George Eugene (Gene) Dillard while attending Emmanuel Academy in Franklin Springs, Georgia in 1958-1959. Carole enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, singing, cooking, and shopping. She had an infectious laugh and a way that made everyone seem so welcome in her home and life. She lived her faith so conscientiously to have raised two children who value their faith and their families and continued to instill her faith-based values in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carole will be lovingly and immensely missed by her husband, Gene and their two children, Mike (Debbie) Dillard and Michelle (Eduardo) Arias. Carole will also be affectionately remembered by her four grandchildren; Jessica (Carroll) Shepherd, Stephen (Madison) Dillard, Leslie and Caleb; and 3 great grandchildren; Briella, Amos, and Isaiah. Carole is survived by her siblings, Anthony White and Linda (Dave) Kamp; her two nieces, Toni Michelle White and Caren (Steven) Lewis; two nephews, Danny White and Jason Kamp; her great niece, Macy Kate Lewis; her three great nephews; Zane Lewis, Dax Lewis and Owen Carole was preceded in her death by her brother Alfred Ervin White. The Celebration of Life Service in memory of Carole will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., at Reynolda Presbyterian Church, 2200 Reynolda Road,
Winston-Salem, with Rev. Mike Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Amedysis Hospice Care, 1309 Professional Dr. Suite 100, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. Arrangements have been made through Hayworth Miller, Winston-Salem, NC.
