Caroline Bryant Stout

Caroline B. Stout, lovingly known to many as a woman of grace, humor, and deep devotion to her family, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the age of 83.

Caroline was born in Lenoir, NC on April 29, 1942, to the late Earlie Bryant and Reba Bryant. She carried forward their legacy of strength, warmth, and love throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by her sister, Earline Burbano.

She is survived by her loving children, Robin Parson, Raleigh Stout, Lawson Stout, and Rhonda Brocklebank-Ellington; beloved grandchildren, Steven Melton, Jessica Stout, Charlie Stout, Sarah (Zachary) Thibodeaux, and Brandon Parson; cherished great-granddaughter, Charlotte Thibodeaux; siblings, Ruth Payne, Johnny Bryant, Gary Bryant, Rita Watrach, and Ray Bryant; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Caroline dedicated much of her professional life to serving others. She worked in Customer Service with Woodhaven Foods and later retired as a Customer Service Coordinator from Golden State Foods after 30 years of faithful service. Her strong work ethic, kindness, and professionalism left a lasting impression on those she worked with.

She loved music from the 1970s and especially treasured Gaither hymns and the music of Elvis Presley. Caroline was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her ladylike nature, and her upscale style. She cooked memorable meals, offered uplifting and encouraging words to everyone she met, and surrounded herself with things she loved, including her collection of red apple décor. Caroline was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Chicago Blackhawks. In her early years she was a season ticket holder of the Greensboro Generals.

Above all, Caroline loved her family deeply and was deeply loved in return.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Judith Hopkins and her wonderful team at Novant Health Cancer Institute for their compassion, support, and dedicated care.

Caroline will be remembered for her grace, laughter, love, as well as the way she made others feel seen, valued, and encouraged.

A memorial gathering will be held in honor of Caroline at a later date.
