Carolyn Ann Amos Spainhour

Mrs. Carolyn Ann Spainhour, 79, of Walkertown, died Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home following a period of declining health. The family wishes to thank Pruitt Home Health and the staff at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for the compassionate care they provided Mrs. Spainhour. Born July 31,1946 in Forsyth County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Charles “Bud” and Alice Stokes Amos; her brother, Roger Amos; and her beloved husband, Bobby Charles Spainhour. She retired as a claims processor for Wake Forest Baptist Health and was a huge fan of Elvis Presley. Surviving are two sisters, Kathleen Oakley and Wavlin Pinnix, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be 11:00 Monday, June 29, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. Pastor Gary Styers will officiate. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
