Carolyn Hood Clapp

Mrs. Carolyn Hood Clapp, 88, of Winston-Salem passed away November 26, 2013. She was born March 26, 1925 to Alexander A. and Alice Gray Hood. Carolyn was very outgoing and was loved by everyone who met her. She retired from Western Electric after twenty three years of faithful service. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Sarah Hutchins; and brothers Alexander and JC Hood. She is survived by her husband Luther Bennett Clapp; a brother Donald Gray Hood of Florence SC; and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. David Kolb officiating. Entombment to follow service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. The family would like to express a special thank you to Hospice of Davidson County, and especially Hospice nurse Kristin Hill for all the love and care she had shown Carolyn.
