Carolyn Anne Clary

Mrs. Carolyn Anne Clary, 80, passed away on May 1, 2023. She was born February 28, 1943 to William F. Pardue and Ermyne L. Grey. She married the love of her life, Joe Keith Clary on June 3, 1962. They spent 54 years of love together raising a family. She raised two children while her husband did two tours in Vietnam. She loved fishing with her son, planting flowers in her garden, and spending time with her family. Her later years were spent spoiling her three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She worked many years in banking administration and retired from Wilbur Smith and Associates. Her passion, however, was her volunteer work with the Ardmore Wildcats Cheerleading and football teams. She spent countless hours organizing the cheer program. She did everything from handmaking uniforms to gathering as many neighborhood kids that she could fit into her V.W. bug, so that no one missed out on practice. Her Saturday nights were spent hosting the famous Clary parties for the Wildcats. She was known by many as someone who would always lend a helping hand. Her kindness and generosity will be remembered.

Anne will be greatly missed by her son, Keith Clary of Florida, and her daughter, Beth-Anne Brown (David Brown) of Winston-Salem. She was known as “Memaw” (her favorite title) by her grandchildren Dalton Brown (Amanda Brown), Devin King (Greg King Jr.), and Dani Brown; and her Great Grandchildren Ali Brown, Asher Brown, Axel Brown, and Jackson King. We are comforted in knowing she is reunited with Joe “Big Daddy.
