Carolyn Estes

Carloyn Bates Estes, 76, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020. She was born January 4, 1944 in Forsyth County to the late Grover and Minnie Bates. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Lena Chance; brother-in-law, Ronnie Chance and niece, Robin Ragsdale. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Susan Hodges (Timothy); grandson, Darrell Hodges (Carrie); great-grandson, Draven Hodges; brother, Alvis Bates (Wanda); three nephews: Travis Bates, Tim Nelson (Lynn), Scott Nelson and Shane Newsome; significant other, Bill Cude; nephew-in-law, Gary Ragsdale; and numerous cousins.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
