Catherine "Cathy" Sue Holt

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to a truly special woman whose love, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Catherine “Cathy” Sue Melenger Holt, 71, entered into rest on Monday, October 12, 2026. She was born to the late Paul and Wanda Melenger on December 21, 1954, in Indiana. She was a woman with a heart of gold, who loved everyone and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. She spent her life putting others before herself, always making sure everyone around her was loved, cared for, and had everything they needed. No matter what she had going on in her own life, she always found time for someone else. She loved watching the Golden girls and the Waltons and enjoyed spending time with Sean. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Cathy is preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Byrd; as well as a sister.

Surviving is her husband of 38 years, Sean Holt; three sons, Shane Byrd, Clinton Byrd, and Stephen Eaglen; a stepson, Allan Eaglen; a mother-in-law, Sandy Stephens; as well as other extended family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Rev. John Tannerhill officiating.
