Catherine Woody Mitchell

Kernersville - Catherine Rice Woody Mitchell, 94, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Genesis Heath Care. Catherine was born on September 17, 1921 in Orange County to William Braxton and Effie Wilson Rice. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Kernersville.
Surviving are her daughter, Faye Woody Hodges (Andy) of Kernersville; and one son, Clyde Donald Woody (Martha Jo) of High Point; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Kevin Conley officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Alamance Memorial Park.
