Cathy Stanley

Cathy Billups Stanley, 63, passed away on May 3, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on December 11, 1955 to Joan Blake Billups and John Wentworth Billups in Beckley, WV. Cathy was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marshall University. She was a Nobelle at Winston-Salem Shrine Club, and a member of Winston-Salem Elks Lodge #449. Cathy was a long-time CPA; and was currently serving as Treasurer for the Elks Lodge. She enjoyed computers, scrapbooking and traveling. Her dogs always held a special place in her heart. Cathy will be remembered for her positive attitude and loving nature. She was preceded in death by her father, John Wentworth Billups. Surviving are her devoted husband of 28 years, Pat Stanley; mother, Joan Billups; step-children, Lisa Paige Hanger (Len), and Suzanne Marie Parkulo (Mike); six grandchildren; and one great grandson; and her beloved canine companion, Bandit. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 6, 2019 at Westside Baptist Church with Rev. Christa Warise officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, WV.
