Cecil Ferguson, Sr.

Mr. Cecil Ray Ferguson, Sr., 73, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 28, 1944 in Stokes County to the late Marvin Ray Ferguson and Joy Watts Ferguson. After working several different jobs during his young career, he became the owner of Automotive Associates, located in Winston-Salem for 45 years. He had the support of his family in that they helped him make it the successful business that it was. He was of the Baptist faith and loved his family. His two sons were his "buddies". He was a loving husband and father and will be dearly missed by his family. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents. In addition of his loving wife of 53 years, Shelby Hunter Ferguson, he is survived by two sons, Cecil Ray Ferguson, Jr. and Steven Wayne Ferguson. In addition, he had many friends he shared life with. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel Rural Hall with Rev. Charlie McFedrick officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service beginning at 10:00 A.M.
