Cecilia Bartholomew

Mrs. Cecilia Rychlinski Bartholomew, 65, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday December 8, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center. Cecilia was born in Forsyth County to Eugene and Doris Byrd Rychlinski on September 30, 1952. Cecilia retired from Center Point Human Services with over 30 years of service. She was a member of Central Terrace United Methodist Church. She loved spending time at Atlantic Beach, the North Carolina Outer Banks, and long weekends at Myrtle Beach. Cecilia was preceded in death by her mother Doris Byrd; one sister; Jackie Jackson; and one brother, Billy Rychlinski. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles "Butch" Bartholomew; daughter, Dana Sloan (Stewart); son, William Bartholomew; grandchildren, Cameron and Laura Sloan; two sisters, Teresa Cobbler and Fran Brown; and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Wake Forest Abdominal Transplant and Dr. Alexander Hadley, who is not just a doctor but part of the family. The family cannot express in words their appreciation of his time, talents and care. The family also wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to friends, family and neighbors for their kind words and prayers. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Central Terrace United Methodist Church, 3 East Devonshire Street, Winston-Salem, N.C., with Reverend Bob Summers officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm - 7:00pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, Winston-Salem. In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to Central Terrace United Methodist Church.
