BALDWIN RURAL HALL - Mr. Charles ""Chuck"" Baldwin left this temporary home and went to his eternal heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 10, 2009. He was born April 6, 1925 in Huntington, WV to the late Francis Bruce Baldwin and Alma Carter Baldwin. Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired from a successful and enjoyable career in the home furnishings industry. Chuck was an active member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Baldwin was preceded in death by one son, Gary Alan Baldwin and one sister, Helen Corbett. He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Ann Laverne Baldwin of Rural Hall; one daughter, Gina K. Baldwin of Huntington, WV; two stepsons, Larry F. Blevins of Rural Hall and Victor Alan Blevins and wife, Lisa of Mt. Airy; four grandchildren, Tori, Tanner and Tara Blevins of Mt. Airy and Allison Love of Raleigh; one sister, Bettye Gullick of Cincinnati, OH; and one niece, Patricia Martin of Miller Tavern, VA. A funeral service will be conducted 7:00 P.M. Saturday, September 12 at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville with the Rev. Eddie Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 13 at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, WV. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Stanleyville, Family Life Center Building Fund, 851 Ziglar Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
