Charles Thomas Binkley

Charles Thomas Binkley was called home to heaven on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Charles was born on September 19, 1938, in Forsyth County to Charles Ellis Binkley and Fran Longworth. He married Sheila Boose Binkley on November 23, 1960, and entered the Air Force shortly after. They had three children, Dawn Wrenn (deceased), Chris Binkley, and Heather Faircloth, and two grandchildren, Morgan and Serenity Faircloth. He is also survived by his brother, David Binkley. Charles loved life, enjoyed travel, particularly the NC and VA mountains, and spending time with his family, especially Sheila, who was the love of his life. He worked at R.J. Reynolds as a Senior Electronics Technician for 35 years, and after retiring, he loved spending time with his dogs and had a passion for researching genealogy and visiting historic sites. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Olivet Moravian Church. Interment will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Forsyth Hospital and Trellis Supportive Care for their services and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trellis Supportive Care or Olivet Moravian Church.
