Charles "Wayne" Carswell

Charles “Wayne” Carswell, 69, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, at his home. He was born in Forsyth Co. on April 16, 1954, the son of the late Charles Earl Carswell and Vanice Gentry Carswell. Wayne retired from IT work and was very mechanically minded and a skilled handy man. He loved his family and spending time in the mountains. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Trent Carswell; a son, Tommy Carswell and wife Enid; and a granddaughter, Maddie Carswell. He is also survived by many extended family members. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2023, at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with Rev. Patrick Norris officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to: Senior Services of Winston-Salem, Elizabeth and Tab Williams Adult Day Care Center, 2895 Shorefair Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
