Charles "Chris" Aymar

           Mr. Charles Christopher “Chris” Aymar, 78, of Clemmons, NC passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born July 4, 1948 in Kearney, NJ to Charles Everett Aymar and Eleanor Hilda Albrecht Aymar. Chris graduated from Passaic Valley High School and later served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Chris also served as Fire Chief of the Lake Hiawatha Volunteer Fire Department in Lake Hiawatha, NJ. He retired after 38 years from Public Service Electric & Gas Company. Surviving are his wife, Lynne McCann Aymar; two daughters, Dawn Aymar Ortiz and Danielle Aymar; two granddaughters, Isabella and Juliana Ortiz and a sister, Beverly Brumbaugh.
          Throughout his sixteen-year health battle, Chris faced every challenge with remarkable bravery and strength, never losing the humor that defined him. He will be deeply missed for his quick wit, his boundless love for his family, and his unwavering willingness to help others however he could. 
          A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Chris at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to the Lake Hiawatha Fire Department District 4, 39 N. Beverwyck Rd., Lake Hiawatha, NJ 07034.
