Mr. Charles Brent Douglas, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on October 14, 1942, in Gilchrist, Florida to Roscoe and Mirvin Douglas. Charles always had fond childhood memories of growing up on a farm. He was an avid collector of agricultural equipment models, especially John Deere. Charles was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He and his wife, Sherry loved to go on cruises and travel to different places. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his six siblings, Jerry, Stan, June, Laverne, Geneva, and Omera.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sherry Allen Douglas; daughter, Tricia Broughton (husband, Travis); son, Robert Charles Douglas; one grandson, Chandler Canady; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Charles will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Rob Decker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
