Charles Wesley Mills

Charles Wesley Mills, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18,2026. He was born on April 3, 1938, to the late Foster and Maude Perdue Mills. He was a proud Navy Veteran. He retired from IBEW as an electrician. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Welburn (Stella), Darnell Mills; brothers-in-law Fred Gaither and J.S. Power; as well as sisters-in-law Helen Mills and Deborah Mills. Charles is survived by his sisters, Judy Mills and Ruth Powers; sister-in-law, Janice Mills; Brothers, Leon (Julie), Robert, Bennie (Cindy), Bill, Gary (Kaye); as well as numerous other extended family members. The family extends a thank you to the staff of Camden Health and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care they gave Charles in the time he spent there, in addition to the staff that assisted with his hospice care at AuthoraCare.

A Graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery at 266 N Regional Road, Greensboro, NC, 27410. A visitation will be held from 11:00-12:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials may be made to AuthoraCare at 2504 Summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27405. The family requests that any United States Veterans attending proudly wear their service hats in honor of Charles.
