Charles McKay Nichols

Mr. Charles McKay Nichols passed away Thursday morning December 19, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on August 3, 1927 in Forsyth County to the late Carl and Mamie Pressley Nichols. Charles was past Command Chief and State Judge Advocate of Am Vets Post 13 in Lexington, NC. He served our country honorably in the Navy during World War II. Charles retired from AT&T as an Engineer Associate with over 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and spending time on the lake. He was preceded in death by a daughter Kaye Vogler; a son Timmy Nichols; and a sister Kathleen Eaton. Charles is survived by wife Barbara Nichols; two sons Mike and Kenny Nichols; two daughters Jenny Long (Gary) and Susan Nichols; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday evening, December 22, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. Online condolences can be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
