Charles Russell Posey

Mr. Charles Russell ""Bud"" Posey, 79, of Clemmons passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born September 3, 1934 in Forsyth County to Russell Melvin and Ruby Wilkins Posey. Mr. Posey retired from Hennis Freight and later from Mock Tire. Bud graduated from Old Town High School where he served as class president and captain of the baseball and basketball teams. Preceding him in death are his parents; two sisters and a brother. He is survived by his wife, Linda T. Posey of Clemmons; two sons, Charles ""Russ"" Posey, Jr. and wife Gayla and Toney Posey; a daughter, Leigh Ann Jessup and husband Brandon; Gayle Norsen, the mother of his children; a step-son, Trent Creed and wife Jenni; three grandchildren, Lori Posey, Kyle Posey and wife Julie and Logan Creed; a great granddaughter, Sophia Posey and a brother, Robert Posey and wife Katherine. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 101 CenterPort Dr. Suite 130, Greensboro, NC 27409.
