Charles Renegar, Jr.

Mr. Charles C. Renegar, Jr., 89, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Charles was born in Forsyth County on May 31, 1928, to the late Charles C. Renegar, Sr. and Pearl Miller Renegar. Charles enjoyed fishing and loved NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Marie Wooten Renegar. He is survived by his four daughters, Shirley Pennington, Elizabeth Renegar, Robin Burton (James), and Christina Renegar; three grandchildren, Joey Pennington (Carla), Beth Renegar, and Madyson Renegar; one great-grandchild, Nikklyn Pennington; and one sister, Dorothy Renegar. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Sam Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
