STEWART-STANLEYVILLE Charles Steven Stewart of Stanleyville passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center due to heart disease complications. Steve was born May 12, 1944 to C. A. Stewart, Jr. and Nellie Coram Stewart. He was a 1963 Mineral Springs graduate and served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He worked in Stewart Plumbing and retired from the City of Winston-Salem (water dept.). Steve was a member of Glenview Baptist Church, but was currently attending Lighthouse Baptist Church. Steve was married to Dorothy ""Dottie"" Randleman Stewart. Dottie was his high school sweetheart, his best friend and the love of his life. You always saw them together. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Snider and husband, Scottie; nephew, Captain Seth Mitchell of USMC; and his father-in-law, Lewis ""Cutie"" Randleman. Surviving are his wife, Dottie of the home; his son, Brian Stewart and wife, Tara; his precious granddaughter, Kyla Stewart all of Wilmington, NC; and his mother-in-law, Iris ""P-nut"" Randleman of King. Steve is also survived by a sister, Connie Mitchell and husband, Steve of Carolina Beach, NC; two brothers, Jerry Stewart and wife, Lynn of Kernersville and Mark Stewart of Winston-Salem; and also, two nephews, Chris Stewart and wife, Mary of Fayetteville and Drew Mitchell of Raleigh. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Danny Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 20 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Forsyth Humane Society, 61 Miller Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27104. Steve was a lover of all animals, especially cats. He leaves behind his seven cats: DJ, Miss Kitty, Speckles, Spot, Split, Little DJ and Gray. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
