Charlotte Ann Webb Atkins

Charlotte Ann Webb Atkins, 81, passed into eternal peace on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024, after a long, heartbreaking period of physical and mental decline inflicted on her by Dementia. Charlotte was born on November 28th, 1942, in Hemphill, WV to the late Ira Clifford and Alice Marcum Webb. She was married to Hyle Atkins Sr for 62 years. They lived and raised their children in Mullens, WV up until the last few years.

“Mom” to her children and “Nana” to her grandchildren, Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a wonderful cook, loyal church member, and avid gardener.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her sister, Judy McGuire and brothers, Joe Webb, and Ted Webb.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Hyle. Daughters, Dana and Jeffrey Johnson, Alice and Tom Sixbey and son, Hyle Jr (Bud). Four beautiful grandchildren, Haley Johnson Jenkins and her husband, Christian, Christopher Sixbey, Holland Sixbey and Noelle Sixbey. Many nieces and nephews with special mention to Veronica Bennett and Kimberly Holmes. And so many friends in their hometown of Mullens WV.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Hayworth Miller Funeral Home. A reception will immediately follow at Union Cross Moravian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
