Mrs. Christin Meredith Davis Dunn, 51, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 6, 2026.
Christin was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on May 27, 1974, to Charles Michael Davis and Charlotte Skaff Ford. From an early age, she carried within her a rare brightness, a steady warmth that would become the defining mark of her life. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned her Undergraduate degree, then attended the College of Charleston, where she obtained her master's in Accounting. Throughout her life, Christin approached her work, her friendships, and her calling with the same guiding principle of love.
Throughout her life, her faith in God shaped not only what she believed but also how she lived. She did not merely speak about love; she embodied it. Whether through quiet acts of service, handwritten notes of encouragement, or opening her home and heart to others, Christin made every person she encountered feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.
Her personal motto, “Do the Good, Radiate the Love, and Be the Light”, was not a phrase she displayed; it was the path she walked. She believed goodness was a choice made daily. She believed love was something meant to be given away freely. And she believed that even in dark moments, we are called to shine. Those who knew her felt that light immediately. Strangers became friends. Friends became family. No one left her presence unchanged.
Christin’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister, pouring herself fully into creating a home filled with laughter, faith, and unwavering support. Her love was generous and constant, the kind that steadies you, strengthens you, and reminds you who you are.
Christin was preceded in death by many other loved ones. In addition to her parents, Christin is survived by her husband, George Victor Dunn; son, Davis Victor Dunn; brother, Thomas Charles Davis; sister-in-law, Cheson Marriar Davis; stepfather, Jerry Wayne Ford; mother-in-law, Sophie Patellis Dunn; sister-in-law, Jennifer Dunn Maier; brother-in-law, Gregory Michael Maier; Godmother, Janet Skaff Lewis, and numerous other loving relatives and dear friends whose lives are forever marked by her love.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem, officiated by Rev. Tamara Pollock, Youth Minister. All are invited to a reception immediately following the service at Graylyn at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 646 West Fifth St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101 or a charity of your choosing, in honor of Christin, continuing Christin’s legacy of doing good, radiating love, and being the light in the lives of others.
