Christopher Phillip Vaught

Mr. Christopher Phillip Vaught, 43, passed away on April 7, 2024. He was born on April 18, 1980, in Forsyth County, the son of Phillip Vaught and Sheila Nelson Vaught. He was employed by the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage employees, and he was in local 574. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and sports of all kinds, especially the Carolina Tar Heels. To know Chris was to love him. He had a heart of gold, and never met a stranger. He never left without giving a hug. He never said goodbye without “I love you”.

In addition to his parents, Christopher is survived by his five children, Caleb Tilley, Nick Lockard, Maddie Vaught, Chris “CJ” Vaught Jr, and Cyler Vaught; two sisters, Amanda Roberts, and Brandie Vaught; a brother, Adam Vaught; as well as 6 nieces and 2 nephews who he loved like his own.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel, with Pastor Ronald Dean Ingle Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory, Walkertown. A visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the funeral home.
