Christy Dawn Gentry, 29, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born January 24, 1986 in Forsyth County. Christy was a member of Asbury Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Westfield. Surviving are her mother, Annette Swaim Kiger; father, George Gentry Jr. (Cindy), daughter, Layla Nadine Joyce; maternal grandmother, Delores Goins (Bernie); paternal grandparents, Shirley Sharpe (Don) and George Gentry Sr. (Gerry); aunt, Carrie Obyrne (Jake); uncle, Clay Swaim; cousins: Brian, Brandon, and Jennifer; special friends: Cindy, Todd, Andrew, and Nicholas Joyce. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastors Terry Collins and Ricky Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
