Christy Pollock-Knopoff

Christy Lee Pollock-Knopoff, 73, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on the evening of May 6, 2025. Christy was born in San Rafael, California on December 26, 1951, to the late William Howard Pollock and Johnie Pollock.

Christy spent most of her working life in service to Contra Costa County, California, but her most cherished role was to her family as daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. During her children’s childhood years, her home became a safe environment for their friends and other children in her Concord, California community, becoming a second mother to many. She loved traveling with her daughter and spending time with her young grandchildren in later years. Christy was mischievous and had a great sense of humor; never missing an opportunity to get a laugh, smile, or even smirk from those around her. She enjoyed gardening, chocolate, and savoring a great meal. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

In addition to her parents, Christy was preceded in death by her brother, William Kenneth Pollock. She is survived by her daughter, Caitlyn Ward; her son, Daniel Knopoff and fiancé, Krystiana Roan; and she was the proud Grammy to two grandchildren, Liam and Briella. Christy is also survived by her sister, Leslie Pollock; and the father of her children, Steven Allen Knopoff.

Christy’s wishes were to be cremated and scattered among many places that held special meaning to her. A celebration of life service will be held in California at a later date.
