Mrs. Clara Mae Williams Farmer, 87, of Arcadia, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017. She was born March 20, 1930 in Forsyth County to Margaret and Lawrence "Pete" Williams. Mrs. Farmer graduated from Griffith High School and retired from Western Electric. She enjoyed fishing, playing the organ and the piano as well as gardening and various crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellard Earl Farmer; three sisters, Inez McIntyre, Addie Lorraine "Winnie" Scott and Emma Williams and two brothers, Lawrence Williams, Jr. and Gary Williams. Surviving are her three children, Pamela Kay Farmer, Michael Wayne Farmer (Janice) and Randall Lee Farmer (Christine); four grandchildren, Chad Johnson, (Amber), Natalie Johnson Lowman (Cody), Mickey Shaffner (Emily) and Brandon Farmer; two great grandchildren, Mason and Eli and one brother, Arnold Williams. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
