Clara Jean Trent Stewart

KERNERSVILLE - Clara Jean Trent Stewart, 82, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Mrs. Stewart was born May 19, 1930 in Kernersville, the daughter of the late Thomas Woodson and Allie Kirkman Trent. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Clara had an unwaivering faith through numerous years of illnesses. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Kernersville for over 70 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Wallace Trent; and her beloved sister, Elizabeth (Lib) Vanhoy. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, LeRoy Stewart, of the home; daughters, Diane Rothrock and Donna & Darryll Tipton, all of Kernersville; grandchildren, Jason & Brandie Rothrock, Joshua & Stephanie Tipton; great grandchildren, Crystal L. Rothrock, Noah J. Tipton, Landon J. Tipton and Madison A. Tipton; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 2, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Kernersville with Dr. Stephen Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:45 pm prior to the service at the church.
