Clara Mae Gentry Tuttle

Mrs. Clara Mae Gentry Tuttle, 83, of Clemmons passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on February 15, 1933 in Yadkin County to Alva Shaffner and Tyra Arville Gentry. Mrs. Tuttle was a member of Concord United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and camping. Mrs. Tuttle loved keeping children and she worked in daycare the majority of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Foster Worth Tuttle; two sisters, Loretta Binkley and Marylou Edwards, sister-in-law, Hazel Gentry. She is survived by four brothers, Evon Gentry and wife Dell, James Gentry, George Gentry and wife Gerri, Billy Gentry and wife Mary; one sister, Laura Beamer and husband Billy; a brother-in-law, David Binkley; one step-son, Steve Tuttle; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Michael Flack officiating. Interment will follow at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lewisville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the staff at Clemmons Village I for the loving care given to Clara.
