Clarence Jackson Bourne

Mr. Clarence Jackson Bourne, 84, of Lexington, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born September 25, 1929 in Carroll County, VA, the son of the late James R. and Ada Sumner Bourne. Mr. Bourne attended Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and was retired from Lucient Tech with many years of loyal service. He loved playing golf and watching his grandchildren play ball. He enjoyed working in his yard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred Bourne and his son-in-law, David Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Peggy S. Bourne of the home; three daughters, Kim Bourne Yontz and husband, Duane of Winston-Salem and Lou Ann Wilson and Melinda Everhart and husband, Mark of Lexington; six grandchildren, Konner, Jonathan, Traci, Stephanie, Allison and Katrina; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and one brother, LeRoy Bourne and wife Patsy of Fries, VA. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 12:00 noon officiated by Rev. Chuck Halipilias at Parklawn Memorial Park with full military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Victory Junction 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, N.C. 27317. (Arrangements by Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek)
