Clinton Chaffen Sink

Mr. Clinton Chaffen Sink, 89, of Clemmons, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Davidson County on July 13, 1926 to Charles and Luna Myers Sink. After Mr. Sink graduated from High School in 1944 he enlisted into the Navy as a Pharmacist Mate and was honorably discharged after 4 years of service. He married the love of his life, Marie Spaugh on August 19, 1950 after dating for 3 years. Mr. Sink was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers, and five sisters. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marie Spaugh Sink; one daughter, Diana Jones; one son, Brian Sink; three grandchildren, Melissa Hoda and husband Randy, Mandy Jones-Freeman and husband Mark, and David Sink; two great grandchildren, Cody and Cheyenne Ferguson; special nephew, Gary Sink; numerous nieces and nephews., A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Hope Moravian Church with Rev. Andrew Hiel and Rev. Jamie Sink officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Alzheimer's Association, 4615 Dundas Drive, Suite 103, Greensboro, NC 27407 or to Hope Moravian Church, 2759 Hope Church Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
